John L. Goodwin

Harwinton- John L. Goodwin, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Karen F. (Zbell) Goodwin, who passed away October 10, 2018.

          Mr. Goodwin was born in Torrington on September 11, 1940, son of the late Everette and Julia (Luby) Goodwin, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a retired truck driver with the Torin Corporation, retiring with over 20 years of service. John was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton. In his spare time, John enjoyed socializing with friends.

          Survivors include a son, Larry Goodwin and his wife Tammy of Bristol; a grandson, William Goodwin of New Milford; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Stewart. Mr. Goodwin was predeceased by a son, Christopher J. Goodwin; a daughter, Kelli Ann Goodwin; a grandson, C.J. Goodwin, Jr.; and a brother, Tom Goodwin.

          Services and burial in East Cemetery, Harwinton, will be held in the Spring.
