John R. Proctor, Jr.

Torrington- John Robert Proctor, Jr., 70, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.

        John was born in New Haven on November 6, 1954, son of Roberta Lee (Thompson) Proctor and the late John R. Proctor, Sr., and was raised in Torrington and graduated from Torrington High School. John was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and enjoyed socializing and assisting other Veterans. He will be remembered for his great love of his family and warm personality.

        Survivors, include three children, Jessica Proctor, Kyle Proctor, and Tye Proctor; four grandchildren, Donte Proctor, Kylee Proctor, Kairo Proctor, and Adorn Proctor; five siblings, Michael Proctor, Patricia Smith, Leslie Hill, Cheryl Francis, and Penny Chance; his wife, Tyra Proctor; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Brian Proctor and Aaron Proctor.

        Services with Full Military Honors will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of services.
