John Slasienski Obituary

Litchfield- John S. Slasienski, 78, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine G. (Adamovage) Slasienski.

          John was born in Waterbury on June 23, 1942, son of the late Stanley and Stella (Kozicki) Slasienski. He spent his younger years in Naugatuck before moving to the Northfield section of Litchfield in 1983. John was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Era Veteran. He was a retired employee with the Uniroyal Chemical Company in Naugatuck, retiring with 30 years of service. John enjoyed collecting arrowheads, fishing, and had a great love of the outdoors and animals.

          Survivors, in addition to his wife, Lorraine, include two daughters, Christina A. Capell and her husband, Mark, of New Hartford, and Kelly A. Balch of Litchfield; a brother, Edward Slasienski of Naples, FL; three grandchildren, Connor Capell, Dylan Balch, and Laura Capell; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Regina and Flave Wolak and Margaret and Edward Doyle, all of Southington; and many nieces and nephews.

          Services will be announced at a future date. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
