Obituary
Torrington- John A. “Jack” Krause, 79, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain.
Jack was born in Manchester on July 30, 1943, son of the late Albert D. and Anne L. (Tidmas) Krause, and had been a Manchester resident most of his life before moving to Torrington. He attended Bates College, Lewiston, ME, and the University of Connecticut. Jack was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Manchester, a member of the National Honor Society, and a Master Councilor of the Manchester DeMolay Chapter.
Survivors include a brother, James A. Krause and his wife, Virginia “Ginger” of Torrington; three nieces, Christina A. Krause, Victoria L. Krause, and Katherine A. Fraher and her husband, Michael; a nephew, Jeffrey J. Krause and his wife, Brianna; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be held in the spring. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
