Joseph Paul Marcinko Jr.,68, of Staatsburg NY, died on unexpectedly Saturday, October 1, 2022, at home.
Born October 2, 1953, in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Joseph Paul Marcinko Sr. and Laura Jean Myers. In his youngers years Joe enjoyed fishing, muscle cars and was known for being the life of the party, often dancing to disco music, or chatting up a stranger. Joe was a life long New York Giants Fan. Joe worked for Sears as an Appliance Salesman for many years before his retirement. In his later years, he enjoyed watching movies, listening to classic rock and going for walks in nature. He will be remembered by most by his booming laugh, stories and funny jokes.
He is survived by his sister Laurie Berry of Waterbury, CT; his daughter Tia and her husband Richard Budzinovski Jr. of Harwinton, CT; son Joseph Paul Marcinko III, and wife Marsha of Barkhamsted, CT; daughter, Susan and her husband Bob Nagy of Stratford, CT ; 5 grandchildren Adam, Dean, and Jack Budzinovski; Logan Marcinko, Leah Barnette and niece’s Jennifer Berry, Sarah Gallagher and nephew Robert Berry. He is also survived by his longtime partner Emilie Garman.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 2:30p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Saturday afternoon from 1:00p.m. until the time of services.
