Joseph R. Wishneski

Winsted- Joseph R. Wishneski, 65, formerly of Monroe, died November 3rd, 2021 at his home.

          Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosemary Wishneski. He attended Monroe schools, graduating from Masuk High School in 1973.

          Joe was a self-taught home builder. His workmanship was admired in the several homes he built almost entirely by himself, as well as the many remodeling projects he completed. He spent as much of his time on a ladder as he did on a motorcycle, which was his other passion.

          Survivors include his children, Megan Pitchard of New Milford and Benjamin Loveland (Jennifer) of West Hartford; grandchildren Kayleigh and Lucas Pitchard and Kara and Ryan Loveland, as well as several cousins in CT, cousins, nieces and nephews in Maine. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Hillock.

          Services will be private; interment will be in Cutlers Farm and Elm Street Cemetery in Monroe. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
