Judith D. (Donegan) Lach

Torrington- Judith D. Lach, 83, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at her home. She was the beloved wife of John S. Lach.

        Mrs. Lach was born in Middletown on October 19, 1938, daughter of the late Edward and Ann (Pillarella) Donegan, and had been a lifelong Torrington area resident. She was a retired cashier with Big Y Supermarkets, retiring with many years of service. Mrs. Lach was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband, John, include two sons, Edward J. Lach and his wife, Nadine, of Torrington, and John S. Lach, Jr. of Torrington; four grandchildren, Christopher Matthews, Julie Rogers and her husband, Brian, Derek Matthews, and Rachel Lach; two great-granddaughters, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Lach was predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Matthews.

        Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Burial will be private.
