Harwinton- Kevin Christopher Gangell, 24, passed away tragically after being hit by a car on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He is now at peace in God’s hands with no more struggles ahead of him.
Kevin was born in Bristol on June 19, 2000, cherished son of Larry T. and Kathleen L. (Dwyer) Gangell, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Lewis Mills High School, Class of 2018.
Kevin had a kind heart and was a dreamer. He loved to be outside hiking and exploring the great outdoors in Connecticut. Kevin loved all animals and cars (taking after his father). He was a very loving son and will be missed immensely by his parents.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his maternal grandmother, Lucille Dwyer of Waterbury; paternal grandfather, Leroy Gangell of Harwinton; aunts and uncles, Dennis J. Dwyer (Claire) of Southbury, Albert Dwyer (Lowell) of Terryville, Kenneth Dwyer (Kathy Jean) of Prospect, and Valerie Sheedy (Chris) of Naugatuck; and numerous cousins. Kevin was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Albert J. Dwyer; paternal grandmother, Jeanne Gangell; uncle, Lee Gangell; and our two little angels, Erica M. Gangell and Ian Z. Dwyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
