Torrington- Laszlo Joseph Juhasz, 85, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Irina (Balickaja) Juhasz.
Mr. Juhasz was born in Nadudvar, Hungary, on March 4, 1939, son of the late Sandor and Terez (Steierlein) Juhasz, and had been a Torrington resident for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Era and a retired baker with Twin Colony Diner, retiring with over 20 years of service. He loved woodworking, especially building kitchen cabinets, and was an avid train collector.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Irina, include a son, Jeffrey Juhasz and his wife, Jammy, of Milford; a step-son, Vladimirs Seglins and his wife, Elmira, of Simsbury; and a granddaughter, Leana Elizabeth Seglins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.
