Torrington- Lillian M. Rougeot, 79, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Rougeot was born in Torrington on July 7, 1941, daughter of the late Wesley and Lillian (Cullina) Brothwell, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington. Lillian enjoyed reading, music, and took pride in her Irish heritage. She was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Rougeot of Thomaston, Michael Rougeot of Torrington, and Jonathan Rougeot and his husband, Craig Lucero, of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Donna Recchini and her husband, John, of Murrells Inlet, SC; a brother, Walton Brothwell and his wife, Ceil, of Harwinton; four grandchildren, Allison Buzzo, Mark DallaValle, Jr., Lexi Rougeot, Spencer Rougeot, and Amanda Zontok; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Hunter Scoggins, and several nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by two brothers, Earl and Dana Brothwell, a sister, Claire Soliani; and a grandson, Jared Rougeot.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 28, 2021 at 9:30a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Friends may call Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
