Linda A. (Roberts) Bircher

Harwinton- Linda A. Bircher, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of William R. Bircher.

          Linda was born in Bristol on July 20, 1943, daughter of the late Chester and Eleanor (Dody) Roberts, and had been a Harwinton area resident for over 50 years. Mrs. Bircher was a retired teacher, retiring with many years of service. Linda was a member of Asbury Methodist Church, Bristol, and was active in Girl Scouts, serving as Field Executive Director. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

          Survivors, in addition to her husband, William, include two daughters, Bethany Karas and her husband, Marshall, and Julie LePain and her husband, Gerry; four grandchildren, Garrett Karas, Spencer Karas, Ethan LePain, and Braydon LePain; and two sisters, Marcy Driscoll and Deborah Fijol. Mrs. Bircher was predeceased by a brother, John Roberts.

          Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at Asbury Methodist Church, 90 Church Ave., Bristol. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
