Linda M. Hricko

Torrington- Linda M. Hricko, 63, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at her home.

        Linda was born in Torrington on November 21, 1960, daughter of Irene K. (Kacmarcik) Hricko of Torrington and the late Vincent S. Hricko, and had been a lifelong city resident. She attended Sacred Heart School, Torrington, and was a graduate of Torrington High School, Class of 1979. Linda was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington, and a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church, Torrington. She was a volunteer for many years at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Linda enjoyed music, completing jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid reader.

        Survivors in addition to her mother, Irene, include a sister, Barbara H. Wait and her husband, John, of Andover, MA; a nephew, Andrew W. Wait and his wife, Jessica, of Williamsport, PA; a niece, Elizabeth C. Wait of Andover, MA; and a grandnephew, Benjamin T. Wait.

        Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.

        At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
