Lorraine G. (Adamovage) Slasienski

Litchfield- Lorraine G. Slasienski, 79, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, peacefully at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John S. Slasienski.

        Lorraine was born in New Britain on June 23, 1944, daughter of the late Albert and Genevieve (Klocko) Adamovage, and had been a Litchfield resident since 1983. She was a retired purchasing agent with Stanley Works, retiring with 40 years of service. Lorraine enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and puttering around her garden. Lorraine and her husband John enjoyed traveling and took many trips to Aruba with her sister Regina and brother-in-law, Flave, who were their constant companions and best friends.

        Survivors include two daughters, Christina A. Capell and her husband, Mark, of New Hartford and Kelly A. Balch of Litchfield; three grandchildren, Connor Capell, Laura Capell, and Dylan Balch and his wife, Vallerie; a sister, Margaret Doyle and her husband, Edward, of Southington; brother-in-law, Flave Wolak of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her sister, Regina Wolak.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
