Torrington- Madeline T. LaGamba, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was the beloved wife of John M. LaGamba.
Mrs. LaGamba was born in Torrington on July 20, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Barufaldi, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington. Mrs. LaGamba enjoyed time with her grandchildren, watching her granddaughter dance and grandson play hockey, cooking, day tripping, and having dinner with her friends.
Survivors, in addition to her husband John, include a daughter, Michele T. Swanson and her husband Brian of Rocky Hill; two grandchildren, Jordan Swanson and Noah Swanson; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth LaGamba of Torrington; special nieces and nephews, Susan LaGamba, Diane Zukowski and her husband Mark, and Nick LaGamba; and several other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 9:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 E. Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simon Foundation, 120 Rescue Lane, Bloomfield, CT 06002. This is an animal rescue and adoption center, for animals in need.
