Maureen L. (Simmons) McBride

Torrington- Maureen L. McBride, 62, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Countryside Manor Nursing Facility, Bristol. She was the wife of Raymond L. McBride.

              Maureen was born in Bridgewater, MA, on October 31, 1959, daughter of the late William and Genevieve (Cuatt) Simmons, and had been a New Milford CT resident most of her life. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and line dancing.

              Survivors, in addition to her husband, Raymond, include a son, Jeffrey L. McBride of Torrington; a daughter, Jennifer L. McBride and her husband, Juan Sotelo, of Torrington; two grandchildren, Tracy Sotelo and Francisco Sotelo; three brothers, Timothy Simmons and his wife, Shirley, of Winsted, Kevin Simmons and his wife, Donna, of Simsbury, and Ronald Simmons of Canajoharie, NY; and two sisters,Paula Turner Huether and her husband Jerry Huether and Patricia Beatty, both of St. Petersburg, FL. Maureen was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Simmons.

              A Celebration of Maureen’s life will take place on a future date.
