Torrington- May Louchen, 92, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Louchen.
Mrs. Louchen was born in Torrington on January 30, 1930, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Kowalski) Fadoir, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was raised on her family farm, Sunny Brook Farm, which later became Sunny Brook State Park. Mrs. Louchen enjoyed crafting, gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. She enjoyed decorating trees with her friends to donate to the LARC Festival of Trees.

Survivors include six children, Dennis Louchen and his wife, Sharon, of Plantsville, Michael Louchen and his wife, Frances, of Torrington, Gerry Louchen of Torrington, Cindy Abraham and her husband, Daniel, of Torrington, Janice Miller and her husband, Stu, of Goshen, and Jamie Louchen of Torrington; a sister, Rosemarie Guerrini of GA; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Louchen; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Louchen was predeceased by a son, Gary Louchen, and three siblings, Pearl Ahern, Edwin Fadoir, and Doris Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 10:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
