Nelson A. Moquette

Winsted- Nelson A. Moquette, 75, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY.

Nelson was born in Duverge, Dominican Republic, on August 7, 1950, son of Alberta Moquete and Leovirgilio Perez. He was employed as a mechanic, always willing to lend a helping hand to fix things. Nelson enjoyed fishing, diving, woodworking, swimming, and the beach. Nelson was a loving father who taught his children strength, resilience, and courage. He loved nature and could grow anything. His laughter and love will be missed forever. May he rest in eternal peace. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Winsted. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of services at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
