Litchfield - Patricia “Pat” Mae (Hogan) Harrison, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Cook Willow Health Center, Plymouth.
She was born in Torrington on October 12, 1945, daughter of the late Thomas and Olive (Nash) Hogan. Pat was predeceased by her brothers Dave and Bill Hogan and her sister Dot Szczesniak. She is survived by her sister Marj Grelo of Plymouth. Additional survivors include a son, Patrick Harrison and his wife, Alisen, of Burlington; two grandchildren, Noah and Adam Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Torrington and formed a lifelong bond with her nieces Nancy Grenier and Jean Young. Pat graduated from Torrington High School, earned an associate degree from the Northwestern Connecticut Community College, and later completed a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. During her working years, she had been employed as a Paralegal and Medical Assistant.
Pat had been a Litchfield resident for over 40 years. She was a member of the Litchfield Hills Audubon Society and served as its Treasurer for a period of time. She enjoyed meeting new people during her many front yard tag sales. If you ever traveled through Litchfield on Route 202, chances are high that you passed one of them.
She enjoyed spending time with family and looked forward to seeing many of them in Nashua and Twin Mountain, New Hampshire. Pat loved cats, music, dancing, and gardening.
The family thanks the many workers at Cook Willow Health Center where Pat spent her last days with her sister Marj. Additionally, the family thanks her close friend, Maureen, and Pat’s Litchfield neighbors, Mike and Gary, for looking after her.
