Richard T. Pestritto

Torrington- Richard T. Pestritto, 77, passed away January 18, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Avellino) Pestritto.

        Richard was born in Hartford on November 9, 1946, son of the late Rosario Pestritto, Jr., and Mildred (Bray) Pestritto, and had been an area resident for many years. He enjoyed watching sports and was devoted to his Catholic faith. In the 1970s and 80s he was in a band called Gemini with this brother and sister-in-law  Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sharon, include a son, Richard L. Pestritto and his wife, Shelley, of NY; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Pestritto.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
