Robert Edward Johnson

Torrington- Robert Edward Johnson, 82, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Canfield) Johnson.

        Mr. Johnson was born in Waterbury on May 17, 1942, son of the late Robert E. Johnson and Katherine (D’Addario) Castonguay, and had been a Torrington resident for nearly 40 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Robert was employed as a mechanic and truck driver with Hoffman Enterprises for many years. He loved cars, animals, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

        Survivors, in addition to his wife, Marjorie, include two children, Christi Kennedy and her husband, Pat, of Windsor, and Dennis Patterson of Chelsea, MA; three grandchildren, Patrick Kennedy and his wife, Leah, Peter Kennedy and his wife, Erica, and Paul Robert Kennedy; three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Liam, and Peter Kennedy; a sister, Ellen Stoddard of Bloomfield; and a nephew, Robert Stoddard of CA.

        Services with full Military Honors will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
