Robert C. Niver

Torrington- Robert C. Niver, 69, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at home. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Wetmore) Niver.

          Robert was born in Bay St. Louis, MS, on May 27, 1950, son of Barbara (Strandberg) Niver of Hartford and the late Edward Niver, and had been a Torrington resident for the past 45 years. He was a member and past President of the Veneta Society and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.

          Survivors include two sons, Timathy J. Niver and his partner Diane Fox and Kevin D.A. Niver and his wife Melissa, all of Torrington; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Seirra Niver; two step-grandchildren, Jason and Brianna Flewelling; a brother, Anthony Niver of Hartford; a sister, Sandra Niver of NC; and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Niver.

          Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be private.
