Robert B. Perkins

Watertown- Robert B. Perkins, 94, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his home in Watertown.

        Mr. Perkins was born in Litchfield on December 21, 1927, son of the late Benjamin and Katherine (Handlewich) Perkins. He married Kay on October 13, 1956 and they spent their lives together in Plymouth and Watertown. He worked for many years as a self-employed painter, often working alongside his wife. He was an avid Bible Reader and an Elder in the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 60 years. Mr. Perkins enjoyed taking trips to the beach, watching UConn Womens basketball, fishing, and was a lifelong Yankees fan.

        Survivors, in addition to his loving wife, Kay (Brammer) Perkins, include a daughter, Judy Cleal and her husband, Lloyd, of Torrington; a brother, Elmer R. Perkins of Bristol; a sister, Eleanor Deschenes of FL; and several nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services will be held on a later date via Zoom. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
