Robert "Bob" L. Elmer

Torrington- Robert “Bob” L. Elmer, 90, passed away May 1, 2020, from the coronavirus.

        Bob was born in Goveneur, NY, on February 26, 1930, son of the late Lincoln and Anna (Witt) Elmer, and had been a Torrington resident since 1954. Mr. Elmer was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired press room operator with the Torin Co. He graduated high school and attended 3 years of Bible Studies in Framingham, MA. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Torrington, and had lived at Torrington Towers for over 25 years.

        Survivors include his ex-wife and 6 children.

        Services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 21 Fern Dr., Torrington. Military Honors will follow at the Torrington Veterans Service Office, 33 Coe Place, Torrington, at 11:45a.m.
