Ronda S. (Deselms) Claar

Torrington- Ronda S. Claar, 71, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 51 years of Stephen B. Claar.

        Ronda was born in Oxford, NE, on February 26, 1950, daughter of the late Rodney and Erma (Peterson) Deselms, and had been a Torrington resident for over 30 years. She was a retired Office Administrator with OMS Associates, Torrington, retiring with over 20 years of service. Ronda was an avid Bridge player, enjoyed camping at Camp Overflow in East Otis, Ma,  playing chair volleyball at the senior center in Charleston, SC and spending time with her grandkids.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband, Stephen, include two sons, Jeffrey S. Claar and his wife, Kathy, of Albany, NY, and Patrick R. Claar and his wife, Kimberly, of Bristol; three grandchildren, Kenzie Claar, Daniel Claar, and Aiden Claar; two sisters, Judy Anderson of Omaha, NE, and Debra Giovanetti and her husband, Jeff, of Honea Path, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Ronda was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Deselms.

        Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00a.m. at Northwest Hills Community Church, 342 Prospect St., Torrington (*IMPORTANT* PLEASE NOTE SERVICE LOCATION CHANGE). Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St, Torrington.
