Sandra J (Murray) Siddall

Torrington- Sandra J. (Murray) Siddall, 91, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at The Cottages, Torrington.

          Mrs. Siddall was born in Torrington on April 5, 1934, daughter of the late William B. and Elizabeth M. (MacArthur) Murray. She was proud of her Scottish Heritage and had been a Torrington resident most of her life, leaving in 1954 with her husband who served as Master Sergeant in the U.S. Marines, returning to Torrington in 1969. Mrs. Siddall was employed at Stop n Shop, Torrington, retiring with 25 years of service in a position she truly enjoyed. As a youth, she was involved with the 4H Club and enjoyed volunteering at Center Congregational Church, Torrington, where she had been a lifelong member.

          Mrs. Siddall loved music, gardening, traveling to Maine and Nova Scotia, and caring for her home and family. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who had a great sense of humor and love for family.

          Survivors include two daughters, Karen S. Marcantonio and her husband, Oliver, of Exeter, NH, and Sharon E. Ieronimo of Torrington; three grandchildren, Dr. Courtney D. Ieronimo and her partner, Julio Salazar of NM, Lucas G. Ieronimo and his wife, Kelly, of Enfield, and Evan R. Marcantonio of Exeter, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Siddall was predeceased by two brothers, David and William Murray, and her former husband, MSgt. Gordon D. Siddall.

          Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00a.m. at the funeral home.
