Sharon L. (Avellino) Pestritto

Torrington- Sharon L. Pestritto, 68, passed away February 6, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Pestritto.

        Sharon was born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1955, daughter of the late Leland and Beverly (Smith) Avellino, and had been a Torrington area resident for many years. She was a retired Data Entry specialist, working at various Medical institutions over the years. Sharon enjoyed koala bears, lighthouses, and loved music.

        Survivors include a son, Richard L. Pestritto and his wife, Shelley, of NY; a brother, Robert Avellino of CA; a sister, Lori Peters of FL; a step-brother, Leland Avellino of CT; and many nieces and nephews.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
