Shelly Lee Monroe

Torrington- Shelly Lee Monroe, 59, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024.

        Shelly was born in Winchester on April 15, 1965, daughter of the late Richard W. Monroe, Sr., and Dolores (Torrey) Monroe and had been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed puzzles, checkers, and fishing. She had a great love of the ocean and was an animal lover, especially tigers and cats.

        Survivors include two sons, Nick Monroe and Robert Harris, III; a daughter, Terri Monroe; grandchildren, Kayden, four brothers, Richard Monroe, Dave Monroe, Doug Monroe, and Mike Monroe; and many nieces and nephews.

        Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at Bakerville Church, 1087 Litchfield Tpke., New Harford. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:00p.m. at Pine Meadow Fire House, 366 Main St., New Hartford.
