Shirley A (Kelson) Bergeron

Torrington- Shirley A. Bergeron, 77, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennie Bergeron.

        Mrs. Bergeron was born in Winsted on January 30, 1947, daughter of the late Donald and Doris (Daigle) Kelson, and had been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family during the holidays and taking trips to Mohegan Sun.

        Survivors include four sons, Scott T. Bergeron, Michael R. Bergeron, Jeffrey D. Bergeron and his wife, Jena, and Daniel J. Bergeron, all of Torrington; three grandchildren, Tyler Bergeron, Samantha Bergeron, and Jeffrey Bergeron; six sisters, Mary Lazauski of Torrington, Linda Ozone and her husband, Phillip, of MA, Terrie Kelson of FL, Kandy Brzowzy and her husband, Barry, of Torrington, and Cindy Kelson of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bergeron was predeceased by a brother, Danny Kelson, a sister, Diane Holmes, and her step-father, Angelo Menti.

        A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
