Shirley T. (Terreau) O'Brien

Harwinton- Shirley T. O’Brien, 94, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. She was the beloved wife of 61 years of the late Vincent F. O’Brien.

        Mrs. O’Brien was born in Torrington on November 30, 1925, daughter of the late Omar and Mildred (Costello) Terreau, and had been a Harwinton resident since 1954. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and vegetables.

        Survivors include two daughters, Judy A. Czapor and her husband Daniel of Goshen and Peg A. Campbell of Terryville; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. O’Brien was predeceased by her daughter, Betty Jane Kretschmar.

        Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. until 10:00a.m.
