Obituary
Terryville- Thomas Reading, 75, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Idaho. Thomas was born in Torrington on December 7, 1947, son of the late Harry Reading, Jr., and Esther (White) Reading.
He was the Founder and President of TRD Specialties in Pine Meadow for over 30 years. Thomas loved to ride his many motorcycles and traveled the world doing just that.
Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Reading of Bristol; a brother, Harry Reading, III, of Torrington, a sister, Kathleen Reading of Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as a niece Amy Reading-Moreau of Torrington. Thomas was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Reading, and his nephew, Harry Reading, IV.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call on Saturday from 11am to 1:00p.m. at the funeral home. The burial, in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be private.
