Vincent J. Wissler

Torrington- Vincent J. Wissler, 37, passed away peacefully after a brief illness Monday, January 19, 2026, with his family present at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. 

Vincent was born in Middletown on April 18, 1988, son of Jay and Yoon (Chitkem) Wissler, moving to Torrington when he was one. Since graduating Torrington High School, class of 2009, he participated in the LARC Day Program.  Vincent made many friends over the years.  Once he met you, he never forgot you, and would always give you a big smile or hug when seeing you again.  He was a passionate WWE fan and never tired of rewatching his extensive collection of DVDs.  He always looked forward to the next holiday, marking off the days on his calendar.  Vincent enjoyed eating; his favorites included pizza, French fries, rice and his mom’s homemade hot sauces.  He never lost his playful sense of humor, sweet innocence, and joy for life that he had as a child.  He touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Brian Wissler; sister, Paun Withee, brothers Richard and Raymond LaPollo; uncle, Gary Wissler; aunt, Karin Wissler; and nieces and nephews, Austin, Zach, Lauren, Garet, Logan, Jade, Drake, and Cain.

Friends may call Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be private.
