Vivian M. (Thomas) McBurney

New Hartford- Vivian M. McBurney, 89, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Wolcott Hall Nursing Facility, Torrington. She was the wife of the late Louis V. McBurney.

          Mrs. McBurney was born in Bristol, RI, on September 11, 1931, daughter of the late Edward and Olivia (Almeida) Thomas, and had been a Torrington area resident most of her life. 

          Survivors include two sons, Louis E. McBurney of Somers, and James F. McBurney of Winsted; five daughters, Margaret C. Thomas of La Mesa, CA, Helen A. Ashner of New Hartford, Christine Green of Northport, FL, Linda McBurney and Brenda L. McBurney, both of Torrington; a brother, Edward Thomas of Naugatuck; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

          Services will be held privately. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
