Vonda C. (Cardegno) Hand

New Hartford- Vonda C. Hand, 88, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of 61 years of the late Donald A. Hand.

        Mrs. Hand was born in Torrington on June 20, 1932, daughter of the late Domenic and Elisa (Donati) Cardegno, and had been a lifelong area resident. She had been employed at Brooks Bank & Trust Company, Torrington, for 18 years. Mrs. Hand enjoyed fashion, shopping, and entertaining friends. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother.

        Survivors include a daughter, Nancy H. Laigle and her husband Mark of New Hartford, and three grandchildren, Natalie E. Laigle, Ethan R. Laigle, and Renee A. Laigle. Mrs. Hand was predeceased by her aunt, Gloria Donati.

        Services and burial in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington, will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
