Litchfield- William Sekulski, 88, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of 68 years of Lucina (Naser) Sekulski.
Mr. Sekulski was born in Torrington on August 24, 1936, son of the late Ignacs and Esther (Hadsell) Sekulski, and had been a Litchfield resident since 1956. He was a U.S. Navy Reserves Veteran and a retired supervisor with the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, retiring with 25 years of service. Mr. Sekulski was a 63 year member of the Seneca Lodge #55, a 50+ year member of the East Litchfield Volunteer Fire Department, and a 50+ year member of Center Congregational Church, Torrington. He was Mr. Fix It and loved woodworking, gardening, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Lucina, include a daughter, Judith L. Watts and her husband, Bruce, of Litchfield; a granddaughter, Stephanie L. Bink and her husband, James, of Bristol; a sister, Helena Langenheim of Torrington;a great-granddaughter, Evangeline C. Bink; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sekulski was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher W. Watts; and siblings, David Sekulski, Alice Tucker, and Barbara Sparks.
Services will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 6:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 6:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held on a later date in East Cemetery, Litchfield.
