Earl E. Freeland

Torrington- Earl E. Freeland, 88, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.

          Mr. Freeland was born in Torrington on November 17, 1927, son of the late Edward and Bertha (Williams) Freeland, and had been a lifelong city resident. He was a retired foundry worker with Reynolds Foundry in Harwinton and also J. Brass Foundry in Winsted. Earl was a member of the United Brothers Club and enjoyed fishing.

          Survivors include three cousins, Viola Cahoon of Torrington, Ward Rice, and Patricia Fisher, both of Winsted.

          Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:30a.m. at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
