New Hartford- Gloria P. Donati, 90, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Valerie Manor in Torrington.
Miss Donati was born in Torrington on April 5, 1925, daughter of the late Livio and Ancilla (Contardi) Donati, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired inspector with the Torrington Co., retiring in 1987 with 38 years of service. Gloria was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter's Church, was a member of the Artists Association and enjoyed oil painting and reading. Miss Donati was also well known to many for her very accomplished sewing abilities.
Survivors include a niece, Vonda Hand, a grand niece, Nancy Laigle and her husband Mark, two great-grandnieces, Natalie Laigle and Renee Laigle, and a great-grandnephew, Ethan Laigle, all of New Hartford.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
