Torrington- Gunter E. Volland, 74, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at home. He was the beloved husband of Rose Marie (Gautieri) Volland.
Mr. Volland was born in Esslingen am Neckar, Germany, on November 18, 1941, son of the late Karl and Emma (Baessler) Volland, and had been an area resident for many years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and was a retired electronic technician.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Rose Marie, include two sons, Erick Volland and his wife Kuy of Chandler, AZ, and Kurt Volland of Taylor, SC, one sister, Kaete Thompson of Butte Falls, OR, four grandchildren, Nickolas and Olivia Volland, and Paige and Neil Oulette, two nephews, and one niece.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
